Calling all racers!

This is an open invitation for kids to compete in the 5th Annual Orléans Soap Box Derby being held all-day on June 5th, 2010. The race is open to all kids in the Ottawa and surrounding area who are between the ages of 7-17.

You can find detailed specifications for how to build your own SoapBox car along with links to purchase ready-to-assemble kit packages. Mom and Dad get your kids involved and have a blast.

On June 5th the Orléans Soapbox Derby is closing off a large section of Orléans Boulevard between St-Joseph and Jeanne D'Arc, and races will be held in heats by age group, with prizes for the winners in each age category.

It's going to be a blast!

The Orléans Soap Box Derby is looking for volunteers to help make this years event the best ever.

We need help for all aspects of race-day.

At the 6th annual Sens Foundation Telethon for Roger's House held on March 3rd 2009,
Orleans Soap Box Derby president Carlos Conde, presented a cheque for $5,000.
